I live next to Death Valley. These are the Funeral Mountains that are on the east side of Death Valley. This is my back yard.

Have a Great Day,
Alan in the Amargosa Desert
Here in Raincouver there is too much rain and methinks you have not enough in Death Valley, so I guess we should keep pedaling and meet in the middle.

A picture from Broomfield, CO. Looking northwest towards Boulder/Longmont. Fall in CO is so AWESOME. Bike is an iZip Moda, my favorite ebike

Beautiful but cold today too. Maybe 6°C in late afternoon. 25-26km today. My feet get cold when cycling. I could wear the same shoes and socks and be ok in lower temperatures if I was walking.

The ship in next photo is a ”local cruise ship” . 21 hour cruises in the archipelago. I wasn’t expecting to see the larger cruise ship in the last photo. Thought cruise season was over in this part of the world.

Heavy rain was forecast for the whole morning and early afternoon, I was keeping an eye out of the window to see if there was a slight chance of a ride but it didn't look good! I was getting bored watching tv so I decided to take a chance and go for it...ended up with 50 miles in the bag :D There were floods everywhere but for the most part the rain wasn't too bad and thankfully it wasn't that cold so it was actually a very enjoyable wet ride :) My 2019 total now stands at 2,930 miles from 49 rides giving an average of 59.79 miles!

I was out on Cape Cod last week and rode the Provincelands dune trails at the Cape Cod National Seashore. The trails are a real workout in spots and require all the gears.

It's always great out there this time of year after the Summer crowds have left.

Even if it were warm enough, I don't think I would have gone for a swim after reading these:

I was riding along the trail at Herring Cove Beach around the point from Provencetown when I caught a glimpse of an old sailing ship a half mile off the beach. I only had one beer with lunch but it appeared to be the Mayflower. There is a replica of the Mayflower docked in Plimouth which occasionally makes tourist cruises on Cape Cod Bay. The lens on my compact camera isn't that great but the ship wasn't under sail and there didn't seem to be anyone aboard ??

Wound up the RV season a couple of weeks ago with a trip down to Astoria Oregon, Long Beach WA and Sequim WA. The E-bikes were well used going for great rides on the Astoria RiverWalk trail, the Discovery Trail in Long Beach and a short portion of the Olympic Discovery Trail around Sequim.

I commute 320 days a year. In December nightfall occurs at 5:30PM, so I really have no choice. But the Swiss country roads are fairly safe where I live.

At this moment in time, we have a group of local louts riding around on motor scooters, knocking off cyclists!!! If I catch any? They will be eating hospital food out of a straw for months to come.

Ride in the UK during the night - No chance.
Agreed, between the louts and the potholes I will stick with daylight riding....I live close to amazing country roads which are just awesome in daylight, at night I wouldn't even contemplate going near them!

Nice day in NH temp in high 40's low 50's. All pics are in Bow NH decidied
to do this dirt road Woodhill Hookset Rd. Had to walk the bike in places because of large granite stones in road way.

Fall has hit with a vengeance here is the Pacific Northwest. Nevertheless I have been taking every opportunity to ride that I can, getting in over 700 miles last month and 420 miles thus far in October.

Despite all the blustery weather we have had some spectacular sunsets lately. These shot were taken from our front porch over the last two weeks.
