Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Today was Tynehead park day. Haven't done that ride since spring methinks. Looked at two different weather apps, and as usual they differed. This time however they differed rather radically. One said showers in the morning and overcast in the afternoon, the other offered showers, thunder, and bonus lightning.
Hmmm... Being the optimist, I opted to subscribe to the former (cuz that's the way I like it), so off I went shorts and Tshirt at 23C or so. Lovely!

Heading out in the hood...

Welcome to the Greenway? Lookin' sketchy in more ways than one...

Hmmm...

Destination is over that hill. Lookin' darker...

Made it to the park. Time for a water break. Two minutes later, the rain started...

Hid under these trees for a bit. I think the moss has taken a lichen to them...

Tynehead has a hatchery...

Bikes at every corner...

Got absolutely drenched on the way back. Thankfully it was warm, no biggie! Hightailed it outta there!

Then the sky opened and the other weather app was correct again, so stopped to finish the water...

I arrived home all nice and dry, but I must pay homage to the Lord of 800wh of power. Got a Strava PR on the way back. I have now received a summons to appear for assault on battery...

Shut up Dave...

I'd apologize, but... ya know...
Forgot to ask... Did you acquire a new mirror yet?
I know you were looking at various options...
I think the mirror was someone else. I did post yesterday about a new water bottle mount that doesn't interfere with my car rack. If you squint, you can almost see your refection in the new bottle. But from the saddle, I'd only see my crotch.

Ah... I thought I remembered you asking about the "Take a Look" helmet/glasses mount mirror. :)

Monday was a holiday, so I opted out of any/all responsibilities and wanted to try a ride I hadn't done in years.
Threw the bike on the car rack and drove out to Derby Reach park to do the "Fort to Fort" trail along the Fraser river. The day was rather hazy and not too warm at 17C when I left. Along the river it remained rather cool but very nice with no wind at all to speak of.

Entrance to the Fort trail. I had forgotten where it was, and found it at the end of the camping sites. Bear warnings...

The park was jam packed with people and there were no parking spots to be found, but the trail was relatively free of crowds...

A few heritage buildings and barns on the way...

The end of the trail pops you out directly into civilization again...

Crossing a bridge gets you into Brea Island park camp site...

Quite the property...

Log boom city...

Heading back...

Last Sunday was Bike The Drive where Chicago blocks off cars from Lake Shore Drive, and thousands of bikers ride with the City on the west and Lake Michigan on the east.

I had expected more ebikes, but my guess is about 5% at most were riding them.

Rode the Pine Creek Trail in North Central PA this week from Wellsboro to Jersey shore and back. 128 miles total in 2 1/2 days. Absolutely perfect weather!

I enjoy riding Pine Creek this time of year when the Wingstem are in bloom. Not a particularly beautiful flower but pretty impressive when there are tens of thousands all around you. Some are 10' tall!

Gorgeous ride, and who else would have such an impressive bike transport system?

Lived in western PA (Johnstown) as a young child and went back often for family stuff. Beautiful place.

Lots of rail trails to ride in the Johnstown area now. Most notably is the Ghost Town Trail.
Were you there during the 1977 flood?

North Carolina. Johnstown is probably not done with floods. It's on the Conemaugh River in a deep narrow valley lined with aging earthen dams. Take a life jacket.

Yesterday the AQI here was still nasty, but today I was surprised to see it had abated enough to venture out. In addition, it has gotten quite a bit cooler and at 18C opted for long sleeves.

The usual Mud Bay run on a cloudy day...

A bit windy as well, glad I opted for long sleeves...

Two water stops. One at Mud bay, and the other at the entrance to Watershed park...

Love these paths...

Every time you show us Mud Bay, the mud part's pretty obvious, but the bay part, not so much. If it ever gets covered with water, I hope you'll snap a photo for us.
;^}
Thou hast encapsulated the primary and therefore fundamental reason I post that pic, bloody multiple times a month!
It doesn't matter when I go... EVER... the tide is ALWAYS out!
It's become obvious... Mud bay hates me... and my camera...

This is where I ride…

Well, my planned route was my normal Coastal Trail but then add Verde Rd and a bit of Tunitas then stopping by the Bike Hut. But of course I kept going on Lobitos Creek Road, which I rode on my Lemond years ago it is a climb! It was a greatly diverse ride...when I got back to the coast the fog rolled in at 3pm. I stopped often for photo ops as this was the first time riding this area with my new Creo. My longest ride on the Creo…so far.
