Scratches on Yamaha LCD

Can anyone recommend a buffing compound of some sort that would work to remove some fine (not deep) scratches off of the plastic LCD display.

Seems these things should be made with gorilla glass like many smartphones to avoid scratches when simply carrying it in one's pocket.

Protect it well. However it’s not the most fragile part. I’ve dropped it a number of times.

Other Yamaha problems to foresee:

- The hinge for the little rubber cover on the battery tends to rip quite easily. My workaround: fixed with heavy duty tape.

- The remote on the handlebar is very fragile. Mine cracked at the place where the screw housing is located due to repeated cold/hot cycles and a lot of use. It costs around 100 Euros to replace. Take very good care of it.

- The battery status button cannot be depressed continuously after a while. Thus, you cannot determine the absolute battery capacity and number of cycles. My workaround: use a pencil.

- The charger’s round connector that plugs into the battery will split where the two plastic tubes of different diameter join together. It just happened to me today. Workaround: heavy duty tape.

I guess these are all things I have to look forward to.

Just to follow up on this. I bought the Novus 3-part plastic polish/scratch remover and used it on the display. It removed about 90% of the scratches that I had, and caused no damage.
