Ridecontrol/syncdrive confusion

The ridecontrol app on googleplay is version 1.2.2 . After install the app says it is ver.1.4. At APKPURE the latest ver. is 1.4.7 with a note that 1.4.7 is no longer operational ( 2020/11/07) go to googlplay for most current app version (1.2.2) ? huh? PatriciaK posted that she was able to return to an earlier app version from APK. I wonder if this makes it possible to return the bike to an earlier software version. I have a 2020 revolt e and a 2021 trance x e3. The only revolt glitch is a surge in auto on steep hills. The trance in smart assist will drop to its lowest assist if I stop pedaling and requires quick shift into a fixed assist mode to continue on. In the same situation the revolt goes right back into auto. The trance software ver. is 202007230 ( the date implemented?). Do app updates correspond to software up dates? I won't mess with the revolt but a return to an earlier software ver. might be good on the trance, I haven't read about this problem with Yamaha powered bikes. Maybe a root to return to the yamaha software.
