This has probably been up before, but I couldn't find it.. (if it has, I'm sorry please delete).. but this looks interesting... some of the claims seem...... um...... ambitious ..

There's the Elio, with three wheels. He supposedly has 45,000 orders. Or the Elf. Lots of ideas kicking around. Elio is ICE.

So if you contribute $10,000 to the KS campaign you get the chance to buy one, down the road? I mean, they are just raising money and the specs are nothing special.

An interesting concept and could move the e-bike industry forward. Both failure and success generally do push technology, but prices of early technology can have a stunting effect though. I wonder if the rahtbike people know what a "rat-bike" is? If they ever rode MC's or had been to Daytona or Sturgis Bike Week they may have chosen a different name. A "rat-bike" is generally an insult, unless that's what you are going for.

George S, I'm aware of the Elio.. the pity with that, is it sounds so damn sensible.. from the meager, though sensible specifications and price, to the way its paid for.... by paying for fuel costs at your current rate of (for example) 20mpg , as opposed to the cars real mileage of 60 mpg... on your Elio Credit card... They even have a facility to make it... even iff they used the prototypes old Geo (Suzuki Swift ) engine.. instead of making their own engine.. it would be a good thing.. If only the execution matched the idea... it is/ was one of those that I really hoped would get up.... George what do you mean by "Elio is Ice" I think I get your meaning but have never heard the term?
