Plastic or rubber seat tube plug for hauling on the bike rack?

Does anybody make something you can clamp into the seat tube to keep rain out of there when you are hauling on the back of the car? I have expensive body floats and take my seat off whenever I’m hauling
but I was under the impression it’s bad to get rain down in the frame

Have done some Google searches and came up with frame plugs but I don’t think that’s what I want

I have the body float as well and Selle Anatomica saddle so I share your concern. I use a piece of plastic bag and a rubber band - two items easy to find almost anywhere

After loosing a set of bearings due to rain water in a bottom bracket, I started using these vinyl caps on all my bikes. No clamping is necessary and I've never lost one in the 8 years I've been using them.

Whatever you use, make sure it is an outside cap and not one that fits inside the tube. Water can enter through the expansion slot in the seat tube if not covered.

Measure the outside diameter of your seat tube and order the correct size. Depending on your size, there is a minimum order of 10 or 20 caps. You can also order a single "sample" cap for a small charge. I usually buy the minimum order and keep them handy in several places like my bike bag, vehicle, pocket etc.

I use these on 6 of my bikes and have extras of several different sizes. Let me know your measurement. If I have a spare that size, you're welcome to it.

There are a few other bike related uses for these vinyl caps.

I put them on the seatpost ends to prevent damage to it and other gear when bouncing around in a vehicle during transport. They also keep the shim and QR clamp on the shaft.

I use one to cover my handlebar horn when not in use. It protects the squeeze bulb from sun damage.

I also use one as a lens cover for my handlebar mounted headlight.

There are probably a dozen more uses if you think about it.
