Show me some photos of your Specialized E ride. Have you done anything to your ride to make it more personal? Don't be shy.

OK, I'll start.

There's also nearly 4 dozen pics of customized Specialized cockpits HERE. There's also a thread on accessories riders have added HERE with over 3 dozen posts.

has anyone tried to upgrade their wheels both front and back? If so what do I need to look for when buying?

I've been shopping wheelsets (for Vado SL 5) but so far striking out. Can't get much help from LBS so I'm not getting very far. I was looking to an aluminum gravel or all-road wheelset from Industry 9 but they replied to an email today and doesn't look like they have anything compatible.

First of all, Specialized were so kind as to upgrade the Euro Speed Vado 5.0 MY 2017 with 2020 electronics under warranty. See the powerful Supernova M99 Pro headlight in automatic daylight mode.

Important upgrades:
  1. Kinekt 2.1 suspension seat-post
  2. Ergon ST Core Prime Men saddle
  3. Baramind BAM Trek suspension handlebars
  4. Ergon GP3 bar-ends
  5. Mirrycle mirror
  6. Assorted pedals, recently Race Face Ride
  7. Michelin Protex Max "undestroyable" inner tubes complementing the original Electrak 2.0 Armadillo tyres
  8. A spare 604 Wh battery
  9. Wide selection of Ortlieb panniers
  10. Stem extender: The most important and first upgrade of all of them.

Yes, as I recall @Brendon@TBSM did both on his V5. You can search using his member name or perhaps he'll respond.

I'm here! I think I had about 10 mins of computer time this morning then slammed at the shop. Sorry for the late reply. We've got two Vado's we've built up for ourselves here at the shop. I'll post my 2021 Vado 5.0 and follow up tomorrow with our built up 2019 Vado 3.0

I'll have more details tomorrow on both bikes and full upgrade lists. Here's my 5.0, 2300kms so far!

Hi Jay: I am originally from Peterborough, ON, Canada but now in USA. I purchased a LEVO 1.0 last year women's M. I had them changed the tires(kept wheels) from 47cm to 38 cm, to reduce the rolling resistance, since I was using it 99% on the roads.

Here's my 5.0, about 5 weeks into ownership now @750 miles.
Light modificationsIMG_0612.jpgIMG_0611.jpgIMG_0610.jpgIMG_0609.jpgIMG_0608.jpgIMG_0607.jpg, SQLabs handgrips, BodyFloat seat post, Racktime 'Snap-It' mounted bag (had the Odin fold down panniers, but looked kinda goofy for everyday riding, so I got a $29 Amazon bag and attached the Snap-It mount for the Ractkime rack)

Here we go!

2021 Vado 5.0 medium frame
Switched cassettes to a Campagnolo 11-27 cassette so I have a tighter gear spacing from 11-16t

Seatpost is a Shimano PRO Vibe 7s carbon post, shimmed down to 27.2 to have a little more comfort
Specialized Bridge saddle w/Stix mount
FSA 110mm stem
Specialized Flux 1200 headlight
Specialized Como bars, 1.5" cut down
Ergon GP1 Biokork grips
Wheels are handbuilt, DT Swiss 350 32h 6 bolt hubs laced to Velocity Aileron rims custom anodized, laced 2 cross front and rear. Tires are Continental E-Contact with Tannus liners

DaMN! SOME VERY SWEET MODS.You know, 2 years ago I was in Clearwater Florida visiting, and rented a Como 3.0. Loved the way it rode, especially the comfort of the handlebars. I see you cut them down slightly. IF so desired, can they be got through Specialized (or you?). Seems like a pretty nice comfort increase, yes?

Very comfortable, more of a European style of bar which I like. They can be had through any Spec. dealer, downside is they're backordered till December. I've got a couple folks waiting on them :(

OK, however, can you provide me a part # to make life easier?
Also, the Flux 1200 headlight, and spiffs to get it for less?

Yep upgraded wheels for offroad use. Running 2.8 tyres on 650 wheelworks rims.

Mavic Crossmax. No choice as the Specialized wheel fell apart more times than I can even count. Mavic actually do an eCrossmax wheel but the shop said the standard one was so good it would be fine. They are right, so far!

How you finding the 604Wh battery?? Just about to order one to upgrade my 500Wh but would be good to know if it’s worth it!?
