I don't know what is the regular one, but my model was shipped with the first one showed above in the OP. While the look of this model is sleek, it has the huge disadvantage of being attached to the (tilting) swingarm. I opted for (free) replacement with the other model. Ugly, but effective

I think if anyone can buy a luxury e-bike such as R&M, the suspended rack is a natural complement...

@RMSDivine: I was not aware you had the FS R&M with suspended rack in your other threads. Now I can tell you your laptop is safe! (My remarks were pertaining to carrying the Ortlieb pannier unsuspended).
