Hi!
I'm new to the whole e bike thing, and I recently bought a Gio Italia Premium for my skipthedishes job. However, It already has issues with the trunk not closing sometimes and the battery disconnecting if I hit a pothole too hard (and I've literally only owned this thing for a week). Plus the whole thing feels ridiculously cheaply made. I don't even think the battery indicator is working properly. Yet I see so many people riding this around Toronto and loving it. Is mine just a defective model? It's genuinely nerve racking riding this thing because I'm scared any second now it'll somehow break which is NOT something you want while you're doing deliveries.
Also I noticed that there isn't really a ... welcoming? place for e bikes such as this. Since it looks like a vespa, people on the road hate you because they think you should be going faster (since they don't get that it's an e bike and is capped at 30 km/h), and on the bike lane alot people think your some crazy biker whose cheating the system by using the lane (since they also don't seem to get it's an ebike). Plus, cops are constantly stopping me to ask why its not licensed. It's quite annoying, and I'm confused how so many other people are riding these things without issues like this? Should I just sell it at this point and get a Gotrax?
Thank you!
