Hi all.
After being a fan of a Scott Aspect hard tail, I decided to get a Scott E-Aspect as my first e-bike.
Local Scott dealer was unable to get the model I wanted, so advised me to find one on the net, so I did. I was going on holiday in Belgium, so found a huge Scott dealer who had just what I wanted, so I picked it up while I was over there.
It's been fine for two months of very light road use, but this weekend when I had charged the battery and clipped it in, the controller LCD screen was dead.
I checked the battery contacts, tried another identical battery, but still nothing. I tried my battery in another E-Aspect, and it worked fine, so I've pretty much eliminated the battery.
I cleaned the already spotless contacts, so it's not that either.
ANY CLUES?
I took it to a local Scott dealer today, who has only just become a Scott dealer, so he has none of the diagnostic programs yet, he's hoping to get the one he needs tomorrow. (I won't hold my breath).
The only thing he tried was to power up the controller rocker switch/screen with a micro USB and the screen powered up but displayed that the battery was flat. I know it is fully charged. I'm guessing it's not getting a reading from the battery.
Has anyone else here had similar issues?
Scott have gone back to Bosche for 2019..... is this because Brose are crap?
