New Vado SL Front Wheel Will Not Turn

First ride on my new Specialized Turbo Vado SL.

It was slowly becoming harder and harder to pedal on a very slight uphill gravel path. Front wheel skidded to a stop, locked solid. Looked over the bars, discovered this!

Maybe Stefan was right, I may have to loose the guards, rear light and rack.

PLEASE only remove the front mudguard! I have ridden for almost three years with the Vado SL rear intact but the front mudguard removed.

Besides, congratulations on your new ride! Many happy kilometres!

P.S. A photo from my 263 km gravel race of 2023. (I used as many as 4 Range Extenders and had to recharge part of batteries overnight using two chargers!)

The front mudguard was removed so the front wheel would not be blocked but all the rear components remained in place. What you see there is sand, called "Mazovian Gravel" by the race organizers

I did the same thing with muck,..

I had to remove the fender brackets to get enough clearance to scrape the muck out with a stick.
