The blue lines are the benefits which are associated with bike features. For example, shocks provide an Ease benefit. Batteries provide an Endurance benefit. Powerful motors provide Excitement benefit. You can make up your own benefit categories. You can associate any of the hundreds of bike features with any benefit.
The white lines are the other half of the equation -- cost, risk and bias. The Cost-Benefit ratio is the relationship that allows you to compare bikes of different cost or risk. You divide the benefit score by the cost score. Everything is rated on a scale from 1 to 5.
It is a way to compare the apples to oranges in the bike world -- in a mathematically correct manner.

BTW - the Grace One.15 hardtail is the bike I would buy for myself, if the battery had better performance. I suggested the Stromer for you. You might want to look at the Grace One Pro. It has better gears and front suspension.
