Hello Everyone. Earlier I was not convinced on the M1 Spitzing. Now, after talking to people and doing some research, I've been convinced otherwise. Let me tell you why you should choose this bike over any other bike. First, let's start off with some basic specifications.
-The bike has a top speed around 45 miles per hour
-It can reach 30 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds
-It has an 850watt motor running as a mid-drive
-It has an 880 watt hour lithium LFP battery
-It is a full suspension bike (air suspension)
-It has a full carbon fiber frame
-120 nm of torque
-This bike has a torque sensor.

Now let's move beyond the specs. What makes this bike so unique and special? Well first off, there are 3 different models of this bike you can buy. The pedelec (least powerful), the s pedelec (powerful), the r pedelec (most powerful).

This bike uses a unique drive system in which the gears have around 90% contact. Also, this is an extremely efficient bike. You can get tons of range, so you should have ZERO worries about getting around and running out of power (65-95 miles roughly). Are there any hills in your area, well this bike can handle them easily with 120nm or torque. Torque is the amount of strength a bike has to travel up a hill. The competition is less than 80nm!

This bike uses a torque sensor, so it senses the torque you apply to the pedals and outputs power depending on your settings. You can learn more about this by looking at the picture in the specifications area. This bike uses a custom carbon fiber frame with full suspension. This is going to unlock the ability to ride on the trails. This bike is also extremely light. Only around 58 pounds.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me!

The battery chemistry is LFP, not li-cobalt
The battery comes from BMZ with a 10 year warranty. Charges 25x faster than other Li-ion batteries. Delivers highest power of all Li-ion batteries, but trade-off is less dense. Used by Mercedes.

I added some more battery info, as I learned. This is the battery chemistry most appropriate for your purpose.

Higher discharge rates needed for acceleration, lower weight and longer life makes this battery type ideal for bicycles and electric cars.

With the efficient power to weight ratios, high safety features and the chemistry's refusal to go into thermal runaway, there are few barriers for use by amateur home "makers".

This is THE ultimate bike. It even looks more like a bike than stealth. and it's a mid drive. wow

I was trying to understand how M1 Spitzing is priced at $9000. It seems Germans look at vehicles as long-term investments, like ten year warrantied products. America is the land of cheap, disposable products, more convenient, less intelligence.

If I got the details straight, the battery has a 10 year warranty. The review has different info. The battery is used in Mercedes cars and Cessna airplanes. The frame also comes with a 10 year frame guarantee.

It seems the bike is priced at $900 per year, based on the assumption you will keep the bike for ten years.

Most li-ion batteries need to replaced within 3 years. Depending upon the battery, that could be around $800, using Bosch as an example. If you kept the bike for ten years, that would be $2500 in batteries! That makes the $9000 price much easier to swallow. I get dizzy when I see $5000 bike prices.

Yes they certainly focus on long term reliability

Motor GoSwiss Drive is used in many other bikes. The hub motor (M1 is mid-drive) quality is:
"Our rear wheel hub motors have proven themselves for years under the harshest conditions. For example, for delivery pedelec with an annual mileage of more than 100,000 kilometers. (60K miles).

So that company produces very reliable motors!!

The M1 clearly needs to be brought to the us
M1 needs a USA distributor like Curry Tech., the usa Haibike distributor. M1 competes directly with USA based Felt Bicycles. Competing with Felt is very unattractive, because Felt specializes in carbon. Felt is a huge, International company with several Bosch eBikes.

Dunno if you are a salesman or just have too much time on your hands. Over 200 posts since Friday. (I know this post will get buried under your avalanche).

Take a breath, stop posting, read a little!

:)

I'm with you on this.

Either

  • I'm just getting too old and think this is extreme
  • there are people with too much virtual time on their hands
  • there is one deranged person under several logins talking to himself

Anyway. It's funny. The fault is most likely at my end so I will work on improving ;-)
