I have watched various videos on how to untangle it but they are not working. any suggestions

Not easy to help on a theoretical basis at a distance...
The first step, is to loosen the parts of the chain that are folded back onto itself. If the tangling was violent that may require the use of strength and pliers...
Then it becomes easier to see if there are loops that need to move over something else.
As mentioned above there should be a quick link on the chain, opening that will help with the final step of entangling as you dont need to figure the loops, you can just move the open end of the chain as needed through the loops

If you absolutely can't figure out how to slide some of the chain past the loop to straighten it out, buy a chain tool and push out a pin. If you can't figure that out, take it to a bike shop.

In case it’s not clear, take the wheel off and get the chain off the bike. I’ve experienced what you have going on with a chainsaw chain. It can be frustrating but if you lay it flat on the ground or work bench you should be able to figure out how to untangle it.

Still working on the chain?

I recommend an angle grinder. Start at the easiest spots to reach first that won't nick up the frame. Next time around start by using a chain break before taking the rear wheel.
Jeez fella. That’s silly!

There goes another happy customer of TowpathTraveling Bike Repair, LLC, who took advantage of our mid-summer bike tuneup deal! 🥴

On a serious note, this has the potential to unseat SolarCabin's "Bike Elitist" post for Troll Of The Week. If not a troll and you are in need of help, put your tools away and lock the tool box; find a local bike shop you trust and let them put that ridiculous mess of backwards derailleur hangers, etc to rights.

If no chain connector Buy a chain tool and Google this, how to use a bicycle chain tool
Shimano Quick Link

Detangle manually Due to the lack of specialist tools, this approach is the best way to handle tangled chains. The chain can also be untangled by separating it from the bike and removing it. Although working with an open bicycle chain could seem simpler, a tool might be required.
