my kiox upgrade review.

ya I wish I knew about the assist levels but that info was not out at the time.
Nyon's feature i.e., assist customization has been available since it came out in 2015. The only problem was that Nyon was sold in the US through Bosch.
But, folks like Alaskan were able to experiment by purchasing a unit on eBay and his post on Nyon customization spurred a new level of interest among the EBR forum readers and many others purchased the older Nyon unit (1 GB) on eBay as well. The 2nd gen Nyon had 8GB internal memory and could store maps of the all the states in the US.

The 4th Gen Nyon which is a complete re-design is sleeker, more powerful and has features like electronic lock, touch screen etc.

I never saw that in all the info ll the reviews never talked about it.

Here is the thread which has about 14 pages and lots of useful info. It may be relevant to the newer Nyon as many of the features are carried over.

Sadly the supply of cheap Nyons dried up about the same time I got my bike. The $400 going rate is just too much for an outdated product. Both Kiox and Smartphone Hub upgrade kits are available much cheaper.
