Thanks, Chandlee. Sonic is actually a lid of tin can for some candies:

I used a velcro to attach to the frame. I also placed some reflective tape like this on the rims. The rim itself is still the default one. I replaced the tires, though. Now using 2014 Schwalbe Marathons Plus HS-440. It was done mainly because I experienced flat with the default tires.

Also, I had to spend a lot of time thinking about default fenders that didn't quite protect muds from getting onto my back, but decided on using some eyelet-less fender mounts of Velo Orange.

Your bike looks awesome! Thanks for sharing the tips on fenders and reflector stuff... A friend of mine was actually trying to add fenders to one of his folding bikes but I don't think it has attach points. Love the Sonic tin lid... I loved that game as a kid but was never allowed to have video games, always had to go over to friends' houses to play.

I also loved trampolines (I guess I still do...) and we didn't have one so I snuck into someone's yard while they were on vacation and then got escorted home by the police. I was 7 and all of the other neighborhood kids were doing it, I just didn't run like they did... Another time my friend said I could jump on her trampoline but I had to dress up as a girl while she video taped me. I took on the persona "Karate Mama" and had tons of fun doing flips and all kinds of crazy karate moves. The video footage is out there somewhere

Speaking of fun footage, I found these fun Sonic videos by Dorkly on YouTube and can't stop watching now. It's all your fault GiantEnemyCrab!!! Whyyyyy!!!

Thanks for the comments, Court.

As for your friend's folding bike, that Velo Orange's eyelet-less fender mounting tool will be definitely worth a shot. There is only $5 to lose in case it does not work.

I remember back in my youth, I was not one of those "cool kids" in the neighborhood, so when I went to my classmate's house, I didn't quite have a chance to hold a controller to play "Megaman 2". Perhaps, it's more proper to say "Rockman 2". I also didn't have a Gameboy when all other kids seemed to have it. I guess whether it's USA or Japan, it's sometimes equally hard to get what other kids have. (I grew up in Japan)

At least, we are now the ones with gadgets like E-Bike, being the cool folks to the neighborhood.

Yeah, things sometimes flip later in life and maybe that helps to build empathy and appreciation in those less fortunate and less popular (I was also not popular and sometimes got bullied)... I remember once as a kid my rich neighbor (who owned a Game Boy) had parents who entered a school charity and won the raffle for another Game Boy... So then their kid had two of these things and it just seemed unfair. I guess I made up for it with building forts, playing in the ditch outside and joining clubs at school but I was really into video games and wanted to play the Game Boy SO MUCH!! Eventually my parents got divorced and I got a Game Boy :D

The original sports fender didn't quite help much. I was riding on a rainy day, and small sands were coming onto my back. The installation of fender was actually tricky, in terms of collecting the parts I needed.

To attach the front part of the SKS fender, I needed to buy a bit small bolt at Home Depot for like under $1. The bolt that comes with, will not fit well for the front part. But once I got the parts I needed, the installation itself is pretty easy and smooth. You just gotta find the right angle for attaching that eyelet-less fender mount.

I am pretty picky, so I would say it took me 30+ minutes for sure, getting the details right. All I can say, though, is that I am super happy to have upgraded the fenders because to me, that was the weakest link.

Sounds great. If I purchase this bike, I hope I can figure out the bolt situation that you are talking about. I think it is unfortunate that they have theses "sport fenders" on this bike, basically just for looks. I asked the company if they can sell the original fenders that go with the Lite or swap them before shipping and the answer was No. It was a polite No but still a No. Other than fenders that don't do the job, I don't see any disadvantages with this bike, except that it doesn't ride on water or fly.

Hi Vandon,

I took the pictures of the parts for you (with sandy details after a thunder stormy day). I am aware that on one of the pics, the screw's package says size #6-32, while the nut is #8-32, but I "think" that's what fit mine. The reason why I say "I think" is that I bought sets of #6-32 and #8-32 for both screw and nut, just in case. And, one of the combination worked quite well.

As far as not being able to ship SE with a full fender, I think that is the next agenda for the company to consider. Meanwhile, people can use the hack I came up with. SKS fenders also matches the black color.

I would want them to also consider equipping with more durable tires by default, since the default Kenda tires went flat after three weeks. My new Schwalbe is holding up impressively so far.

By the way, would a bumper sticker-sized decal cover the logo for customization?

I just measured. The 'decal'able area is 13 inch x a bit more than 3.75 inch.

The standard bumper sticker is 11.5 in x 3.75 in? If so, the bike size seems perfect. I might even try some! Do you know of good websites that sell good stickers?

Crab - The sticker I just showed you I created myself on Zazzle.Com. It is 11 X 3. However, if you say it is 13 X 3.75, then a bumper stick will not cover the "E-Joe".
