Mounting Abus Granit U-Lock on Giant Explore with Photos

I found a good way to mount my Abus Granit 540 U-Lock on the Giant after a lot of head scratching and trial & error. Does not get in the way of pedalling and easy to get on and off. The one trick was to rotate the Click-Fix collar on the lock itself. Hope someone finds this useful.

The lower part of it , Doesn’t it bounces left/right ?

I have my Moto version Granite u lock in a backpack in a rear basket.

Also the Bordo Granite X on frame, and when in highly suspect areas , the 3rd one is another Granite Extreme plus 69 chain lock. And the disk lock for a bonus.

I should also add that it's a Klickfix mount. If you google Abus + Klickfix you'll get a few options. The one I am using is called a TexKF. Here is a link to it on the Abus website:
Abus TexKF Bracket

There are also a few other Klickfix brackets from Abus. They klick into a bracket on the lock itself. My lock came with the bracket but it can be purchased separately. I had to loosen it and rotate 90 degrees to make this work. It attaches to the lock with standard screws.

Nice tip. Does anyone use a frame lock, like the Axa Victory, with a plug in chain? I'm thinking it would be easier for short stops than fussing with a portable lock.

I picked up this M-Wave frame lock on Amazon and love it. It has a cable instead of a chain and I had to cut the two studs on the back of the lock off (see the customer review on Amazon for a picture of the studs) but my Evelo Orion had mounting points for it on the bottom of the seat stays. It was a tight fit because of the wires running down the seat tube.
I never have to think about where the lock or key is when heading out, it's always there.
