Magic (not real magic) chain lube for outstanding lasting performance and virtually no wear

I've been using it for 8 years on bike chains.. No mess whatsoever compared to wet lube alone. I use the chain wax alone on my motorcycle chain (katana 1100) Zero fling off, zero mess. My test method has been called into question though so proceed with caution. The big advantage of maxima chain wax is that there is no mess from fling off

Motorcycle chains use o-ring seals on the links, bicycle chains do not.
The ironic thing is that before use of o-rings (and now x-rings) in motorcycle chains (pre 1970s), owners would use a variant of the immersive wax treatment (eg Duckhams or Linklife) now recommended for bicycle chains. But, those products are no longer made because for the last half century motorcycle chain maintenance isn't about lubrication (chains are factory-lubed inside of the O or X ring seal), but about keeping the outside of the chain clean and rust-free and not drying out the o-ring.

Unfortunately, facts like these won't stop people from insisting that their misapplication of fundamentally different motorcycle products to bicycles is some kind of worthy scientific experiment, like the discovery of the microwave for cooking, and with vastly superior results than with products designed for bicycle use. Then again, what should we expect from those making claims of "zero wear" without proper instrumentation? I think the self-indulgent circle-jerk postings of potty humor on an e-bike forum is telling.

I think your inability to let it go is telling. Why don't you start your own thread about the proper products and technique to lube a chain instead of continuing to throw mud on my thread... I'm quite sure EVERYONE knows how you feel about mixing wet and wax lube. If it makes you feel better, "zero wear" is obviously not possible.. I already changed the title of this thread because of your protesting about using the word "magic". What more do you want at this point? In my non-scientific testing a coat of wax over wet has resulted in less wear than either used alone on my chains. I don't think I should be crucified for sharing this finding. You of course are free to call "BS" on it as you've done over and over.. When will it be enough for you?

I was content to let the potty humor of your "supporters" be the end result of this thread, as to anyone who is an adult, seeing them respond to data and facts with self-indulgent giggling over potty and sexual humor shows their true intent.

Then someone came back with actual data, so I felt that reinforcing the facts of the situation was worthwhile.

You keep trying to shut me up, but you can't let it go, insisting on the final word. Will you insist again, or can you let it go?

Why don't you start your own thread about the proper products and technique to lube a chain instead of continuing to throw mud on my thread
I did:

And years ago, I started a mid-drive chain-care thread:

LOL.. you're a real piece of work smorgasbord. Instead of posting chain care threads, why not start a thread warning others about the dangers of not following the manufacturers directions when lubing a chain and the potential harm that wax on top of lube can cause. I'm sure you have the data to support it. :).... And as you make fun of potty jokes, you resort to "I know you are... but what am I" type statements. (just drop it, no, why don't YOU drop it) etc. etc. ad nauseum. I started this thread and now you're telling ME to let it go?I'll even give you the satisfaction of saying you're absolutely right and I'm wrong. Is that enough? Not looking forward to your next post which I'm sure is coming shortly. In fact I never thought I'd have to use the "ignore member" feature here but now might be the time

Not sure how you derived that... but actually I do not agree with his methods and I believe I mentioned that in another thread where this was discussed. That said, I'm happy if he is and one statement of disagreement was enough for me.

What's life without whimsy 🙃

And when I pointed out that I had already done that, twice even, your huffy response was:

Instead of posting chain care threads, why not start a thread warning others about the dangers of not following the manufacturers directions when lubing a chain and the potential harm that wax on top of lube can cause.
I can't anticipate all the incorrect things people might do; I'm content to respond when someone recommends something incorrect as being "the holy grail."

I started this thread and now you're telling ME to let it go?
Yes. The only thing worse than starting a thread with misinformation and over-hyped claims that won't stand up to any scrutiny is to continue to insist on that misinformation as being true when independent testing and facts indicate otherwise.

In my non-scientific testing a coat of wax over wet has resulted in less wear than either used alone on my chains. I don't think I should be crucified for sharing this finding.
You really want to relitigate this? You insisted on resulting "zero wear." I pointed out how this was wrong. You took it personally. And still do.

You've now toned your rhetoric down to the point where your only claim now is that two products not designed to work on bicycle chains are better together than either non-bicycle product alone. As if that says anything in comparison to products actually designed for bicycle use.

I never thought I'd have to use the "ignore member" feature here but now might be the time
What's that line about not being able to handle the truth?

Good bye smorgasboard... You refuse to let it go.. Enough is enough.. Find some other thread that bothers you. In fact, I might just start one. hehehhee

My experiment is well on its way
And the best part is... many people seem happy to pre-package lubricant for you in a convenient single use quantity.

For anyone that might be interested and suffered the pain of reading all six pages. The wax lube does seem to form some kind of "shell" on top of the wet lube. I have no scientific data but the chain stays cleaner than just using wet lube and also seems to wear less. That's really all I wanted to convey. I did use "magic" and "virtually no wear" as attention getters and my bad for doing that. I still don't think it deserved the Spanish inquisition but here we are. Dog poop might work just as well.. or better!

When I first did this it was actually by accident. I thought I was using the wax lube can but instead I had the wet lube can.
Well, earlier you said:
I love the maxima chain wax so I bought a can of their chain lube and then I thought, hey, if I spray the wax after the lube, it might give me better results
Even your narrative is self-contradictory - you first claimed it was an intentional experiment, then, months later, you admitted it was an accident.

But, you've got me ignored now, right?
