I am ordering the Pedego Platinum Interceptor today. I considered the regular Interceptor due to its many awesome color combinations, but the hydraulic brakes in the Platinum was the deciding factor. Safety won over aesthetics. Question: Would you go for mag wheels over spokes? The mags lo0k like sort of overkill to me and I’m not super heavy at 195 lbs. Would appreciate your input as I am a first time buyer. Thanks!

IMO- Go for the mags!! they look awesome!
Thanks, Shoestring. I’ll talk to the Pedego store owner before deciding today, he knows my priorities pretty well. Leaning towards the mags mainly due to spokes possibly breaking eventually. And like you said the mags look pretty cool.

I sometimes dream about a extremely low maintenance ebike with mid drive, Gates belt drive, Nuvinci hub, mag wheels, flat free tires ( http://www.tannus.com/ ). Raleigh even once offered self-adjusting brakes!
Nirmala, Pedego is coming out in spring with a mid drive with Gates belt drive. It’s called The Conveyor.
