LockDown Fun - Show Us Pictures of Your Pets

For many of us, our pets help keep us sane, during good times and bad. During the current pandemic, I am now seeing a LOT of local dogs having a good time as their owners are taking them for more walks while exercising during this 'shelter at home' time.

So let's celebrate all of our pets, whether furry, feathered or scaled who, during these troubled times, help us smile and cope (along with our e-bikes). I'll post up some pics of our furry children and welcome you to do the same with yours!

First up for me is our 'new' kittens, who we rescued just before Christmas. Chocolate and Coconut were and are inseparable litter mates, and I'm really glad that we could offer them a forever home together. Little Chocolate must have been the runt, but she's quick, feisty and can definitely hold her own. She has also started to earn her keep as she has already scored 1 gopher kill. Good girl!

When they are not in my lap while I'm at the computer (and chasing the cursor on the monitor), one of their favorite beds in behind the monitor, in the sunshine:

We rescued Bodie when he was about 1.5 years old. Can't figure out why anyone would have turned him into the animal shelter, unless they had to move or something where they couldn't have animals. When he joined us we had 3 older cats, who we lost one by one - And Bodie got pretty used to being 'the only child'. He loves to go to the beach and, although he's not spoiled ( ;) ) he even allows to use his couch in the RV - sometimes!

He loves his new siblings, although they are taking a little while to get used to him.

Dogs and cats are reported as also being susceptible to the virus. Ours has been an inside little dog now for some time. She's OK with it. We spend a lot more time playing search for the toy with her.

This is our Patty. My wife got her from the Humane Society about 6 months ago.
She did not want a dog because she did not want to walk a dog.
THAN she found out the cat was trained to go out on a leash. GOD does have a sense of humor!
Now that she is injured it is me that has to walk her about 6 times a day! WAY worse than any dog I ever had.
If she is awake she wants to go out,
Keep looking up! Ken.

Our two rescue dogs have been great pets.

Today was a good day for a bike cleaning. But not much help from the peanut gallery. Little Cams just wanted me to finish so she could nap in the basket:

And I also got my pond cleaned and ready for the warmer months as Little Mags visited Great White:202004_MagsPond.jpg

Not to leave out Little Clio who preferred to watch me do all the hard labor whilst enjoying the fire:

There is just something about bikes which cats seem to love. Below is one of my long gone kitties P.K. (for 'psycho kitten') on the long gone KTM. She had a face only a mother could love, but was the matriarch around our house for a long time, teaching all of the new pets (cats and dogs!) what was acceptable behavior.

Good old mustachioed Chocolate got gopher #2 yesterday. But this time she decided to bring it into the house, to her favorite little spot under the futon at the end of our bed. Unfortunately the little rodent was only 'mostly dead', and the d@mn thing bit me as I picked it up to discard it. Hope they don't carry rabies, that's all I would need around now!:(

Tygra. She's 15 and had an unknown road accident over one month ago. Unluckily, she lost her sight, poor creature. While she can climb upstairs, I have to carry her downstairs. Now, she's getting a sunbath at my terrace.
She's still gorgeous! And very lucky to have a Dad who will take care of her after her unfortunate accident.
