Li-ion Battery experiences

The Grin LIGOs are fully potted. I bought them with the Brompton kit I got from Grin. I will never take the bike on a plane, so I will eventually replace them with something else. Right now, it still works with the five remaining batteries in a stack.
Even if potted, if the discharge port is always live you may be able to charge it slowly using a bench top power supply.
If the BMS interrupts the discharge port... Then you're out of luck.

If you feel up to it, you could open up your batteries, (if they come apart easily) to look for corrosion or any sort of visible damage inside, especially heat damage.

(fuse holders have been known to melt without blowing the fuse. Wires can break, or heat up and melt the insulation. Individual cell welds have been known to break or crack.)
Not a bad idea given the history of this battery. Just yesterday I replaced the Anderson connectors that had been on it with xt60. I thought I was being careful but the Harbor Freight "helping hands" holder for the wires and xt60 slipped shorting the wires for an instant. Upside is that up until that point it looked like I had a cold solder, after the solder looked perfect and the battery seemed to work normally.

,.. xt60 slipped shorting the wires for an instant.

Well,.. That should be good news because it probably means that your BMS is working properly.

I've tested the BMS of my batteries the same way, dozens of times. 😁

I remember one Hell of a Crack of 🌩 ⚡️ when I connected my charger to the battery in the wrong order.
Scared the Shite outta me !! 😁

I tried with the Satiator and a regular 4 amp charger. I don't have a bench power supply. I have almost bought one many times, but couldn't really justify it for the number of times I could have used one. I'll think about it. I still have the dead battery as I haven't gotten around to going to the ewaste place yet, but I can live without the battery. The bike runs fine on five batteries, just a little less range and I ride the Surly more than the Brompton.

Yeah my Desktop supply doesn't see much action... but it sure does come in handy at times. Being able to do things on a bench it's often much easier to do than with the hardware installed.
Using the Satiator... Were you using the discharge pins on the battery?
