Known Issues & Problems with Wallke Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I am a newbie to the Wallke X3-Pro W-PAS, but here are some answers from my experience with being a new owner:

1) Both me and my brother's bike has the same issue, unable to change anything in the advance settings. We haven't gotten around to e-mailing the company about it.

2) We did have to do some brake adjustments. Also, if you don't know or want to take the time to watch YouTube vids on how to tweak parts on your new bike, I'd take it in to a bike shop to get a little tune up to make sure everything is nice and tight to be on the safe side. I was lucky and found one with a 24 hr turn around time versus 2 weeks everywhere else.

3) We have already washed our bikes with water after taking it out in the dirt and to the beach several times. It works just fine, but we make sure to lubricate the chain and grease the various parts. We also treated it with an anti-rust protectant.

4) I have read the 28 inch setting is closer to the 4 inch fat tire that we have even though it is 26 in. You can compare with another gps mileage reader. It would be nice to adjust the advanced settings like some I have seen on another thread, perhaps an e-mail to the company can shed light on this.

Thanks for the reply. It really helps. I talked to customer service and they said that the setting lockout is by design, they don't want users changing the settings without consulting them first. The settings can be accessed by holding the "+" and "-" buttons while powering it on, you'll see an "ok" in the bottom right corner indicating it's ready to change the settings. Then save the new settings as normal.

I haven't seen this issue before on mine nor my brother's bike, but if you send a picture of it to the company they may be able to find out if anything is wrong with it.
Thanks for the reply. I have sent a video to the company and they said it is normal standby power consumption and not to worry about it. I have two other ebikes and many friends that have them and I've never seen this on any of them. I'm still working with customer service to fix the problem.

Hello, I recently purchased the X3 pro in the June pre-order and I'm excited about its arrival, I'm also a new member in the forum. Anyways the sight says FedEx ground delivery but my recent email and the shop app says UPS label has been prepared. I'm a bit confused.. Thoughts?

Hello and thanks for choosing Wallke!

Sorry about the slow shipping. We have updated the shipping delay notice on our blog.

Just received my X3 Pro and got it assembled. When I turn it on it always show 17W being used even without doing anything, just turning it on. It shows normal wattage as I ride. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks

Hello and thanks for choosing Wallke!

The 17W showed on the display is the standby power consumption.

Why don't all of your X3 Pros display the standby power consumption? Can you post a pic of your other X3 Pros that do this? Thanks.

Upgrades made from the August batch:

1.New seamless welding design.

2. High luminance colored LCD display

-KD986

i. High luminance colored LCD with special technology( The glass lens fully and seamlessly fits to screen for better display effects). Holographic screen, it looks like a smart phone when the display is switched off. The visual effect is good both from different angles and under strong sunshine.

ii. Glass lens, full screen, with no plastic edge

iii. New appearance, more fashionable, high sense of science and technology

iv. The display side has no fixed cable harness. Fully apply the latest technology of board-end-connector to the displays. It is also good for after sales service, easier for replacement.

eg. the cable from controller is directly inserted into the green connector below. It is the same way for remote cable and USB cable.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't get the August batch. I don't have the seemless welding design or the upgraded display.

Hello,
Hoping someone can help out. My 5 day old Wallke X3 Pro Display turns off but won't turn on. It's worked fine up until today. I went for a ride this morning, shut it off when I got to where I was going but when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn't turn on. I had to disconnect the battery and when I reconnected it was fine. All other controls work fine after restarting including the power button to turn it off, but no matter what I do it won't turn back on. Help?!?! Anyone?

Hi Craig,
Firstly, thank you for your purchase. Did you check to see that the connection shown where I am holding is secure?
If that does not resolve, I will defer to a Wallke technician who monitors this thread.
Hope this helps,
Carl

Thank you for a quick response. Yes I have, as a matter a fact if I disconnect it there and reconnect the screen comes to life. I think it's the display itself to be honest, the power button works fine and shuts it off, like I said once it turns on it works flawless, all controls, switches, headlights, throttle, etc works fine. I just can't turn the display on unless I disconnect that connector or disconnect the battery by unfolding the unit.

Hi Craig,

It is our honor to serve you. I have confirmed with my colleague. They responded that they have seen your pictures. We hope you can test the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. Could you please send us a longer video about your test process to our service email? It will help us a lot. Once they received your detail video, they will give you a clear response soon.

Hello, yes I would be happy too. I would need to know exactly where you want it tested from though? Also my phone only allows like 15 sec clips to be sent, but I would have know problem doing a FaceTime or something if needed. I would still need to bring my dvom home from work though. Is there a email address I could I can send them too? I might be able to video longer from my apple phone but that's a work phone and email.
