Just for fun...

You won't feel a part of the group if you stand apart.

Perhaps transgender people feel like a door which is a jar.

Welcome to Lancaster, please drive carefully

You shall not drive anything but a buggy in Lancaster PA! And you're so surprised! :D
Not at all. Sitting shotgun was my Amish friend who bought the horse on the right today. It was first come first serve sale, and he got there first after calling me to take him down. It's just rare to see a team take up the entire road like that.

Don't you think the county is just made to be living the old ways?

I can see why the Amish enjoy living that way. I respect their culture, but I couldn't live like they do. Last thursday, he called me at 8pm and asked if I was busy. I had just gotten done with dinner and was relaxing, but told him I was free. He needed a ride to his BIL's place because they had 16 acres of rye that was cut, but needed raked, baled and stored before the rain hit the next day or the entire crop would be ruined. I picked up him, and two other BIL's and drove him down. In 4 hours, they raked, baled and stored it all. Filled an 80' silo with only about 15 men. We got there at 9pm, and left at 1am. On our way home he says "That's what farming is about, helping each other", and I knew he meant me in that too, since I dropped my relaxing time to take him down. It's just such a simple, low stress way to live. It is a lot of hardwork. His wife planted their family garden on March 9th, and on March 19th, gave birth to their 8th kid.

Why John Steinbeck?

I am not surprised if a non-native English speaker misses some of this one. I should explain...

"Now is the winter of our discontent" is from Shakespeare's Richard III, and Dick is a common nickname for Richard, and Dicks Sporting Goods is a national chain here in the US. (At least in the west of the US, not sure about east of the Rockies.)

I missed the Dick/Richard part! I don't know about anywhere else either, but Dick's is in Nashville....

I've read several of his ... The Grapes of Wrath gets my vote for his best so far , but there are some others I haven't gotten to yet.
Currently reading Tortilla Flat.
My favourite book by Steinbeck is "East of Eden". My Dad read it when the book was new while staying in Australia and Tasmania in 1950s. As he was robbed of his belongings on his return to Poland in 1957, he bought a 1961 copy in the year I was born. I still keep that book as the only I felt was worthy to recover from my half-burnt home.

I came up with a quick way to finish the trailer today. We just need an upbeat 1980's build montage. Find the right song, everyone works, and by the time the song is over, the trailer is done. It worked in Better off Dead, One Crazy Summer, Summer Rental and Revenge of the Nerds.
