Is FedEx Ground usually this slow with updating?

Wow, I can't say that I can figure out what is going on with FedEx lately. I'm expecting a simple, small package in California, shipped from Utah. It has now reached California, only to then travel across the country to North Carolina - TWICE!

I've had this happen once before, but it only travelled to North Carolina and back once before ultimately being delivered.

But WTF?

Good effing luck. I will actually switch providers of a product if they use FedEx. FedEx is a horribly organized company. Talk to a driver. FedEx treats their people like caca. So their drivers and probably their warehouse staff hate them and that adds up to very poor service.

Wow, that's crazy!

But at least you were able to track it 😕

Just got an email from Wolf saying that UPS didn't show up on Friday, so they made a new appointment with the FedEx driver.

Down here at my shop in Orlando, I've never had an issue with either of my UPS or FedEx drivers as we actually service their vehicles.

I know them all by name and they go out of their way to get things done for me 🙂

On the other hand, at my shop in NY, I've had issues with both companies either not delivering on time or losing packages by sending them to a similar address nearby 😡

Lucky for me, I'm on good terms with the lady that owns the house and she gives me a call when ever they screw up and send her my stuff.

Whenever I receive a FedEx tracking number I simply go about my business and simply wait till it arrives. There are rare instances I get an "out for delivery" and often it's the next day when it shows up. Horrible company.

Ok, so as of this morning's email, Wolf said to disregard FedEx and to use the same UPS tracking given on Friday.

UPS still has yet to pick up the bike from the Califirnia hub or update the tracking from a label.

I'm trying to be as patient with this as I can, but I have very limited time for delivery while here in Florida.

Can you pause shipping till you get to a more permanent location? I mentioned somewhere I ask to be notified when the product reaches "out for delivery" status via txt. You can request that on shippers sights once a tracking number has been generated.

Well, I was initially told it had been shipped the next day and planned my delivery around my time in NY before leaving for vacation (this was weeks ago)

A FedEx label was made, but it showed no movement right up until the delivery due date.

When we found out that the bike could not be located by FedEx, Wolf gave me the option for either a full refund or to have another bike shipped to my shop address in Florida, where I'm currently on vacation.

I figured if it would ship out the next day as he said, it would make it here within a week (just as it did for my buddy in Orlando when he placed his order after I placed mine), but this all depends on when the bike is actually picked up from the Cali hub.

Usually when I schedule a pickup from either FedEx or UPS, it's either done the same or next day.

I'm hoping it will at least be picked up by today so I can track it

Smells bad from where I'm sitting. UPS or Fedx will generally update when the tag is scanned on to the truck when it's picked up, or when the package is dropped off at a shipping center. If you don't see that scan, I'm left wondering if it ever left the building. Worst case, you'll see the update the next day.

Too, sometimes you'll see the tag created, but the bike is one of many being picked up. They wait until there's a truckload ready to go prior to it actually being shipped. When that truckload is picked up, that's when you see the first real update and know for sure it's on it's way.

Ok, I guess I’ll keep this thread updated.

Just got a call from Wolf’s colleague at Wallke (Cali based number, but said he’s in China) and tried to explain the situation.

Apparently there was a misunderstanding as they blamed the new delay on grey bikes not being fully assembled.

Thing is, I never ordered a grey bike.

The bike I ordered was black, mainly due to the fact that it was the only color in stock that was ready to ship out ASAP.

I explained to him that the new bike order was supposed to be picked up by UPS on Friday (the 23rd), but that tracking shows no record of it ever being picked up

I asked him to confirm with the Cali warehouse once more today (Wednesday) that a black bike will be shipped out immediately to make it to my Florida address by next week with proper tracking.

so, fingers crossed.......

Ok, finally see some tracking movement on UPS 😎

Scheduled delivery Tuesday the 3rd 😃

Weird thing is that it says the package is only 40lbs. 🤔

So I've been sitting here in my office for the past few hours waiting for UPS to show up and I get a notification on my phone saying the bike was already delivered 🤨

Checked tracking online and it says it was delivered at 11:24AM and left at "Met Customer Man" (whatever that means) 😕

Contacted UPS and they said they'll get back to me within the hour 😐

I'm guessing (hoping) the driver just scanned it early due to the large size and didn't just drop it off somewhere

OK, so UPS delivered it to the wrong address

The package was too big to fit on the truck of my regular driver, so they loaded it up on another truck with a driver that isn't familiar with the area 🤨

Luckily, I was able to flag down my regular driver and he tracked it down at another business down the block 🤪

Anyhoo, package had a small dent on the side, but it was so well packed that there was no visible damage

Did an uboxing video (still editing) and it all went together pretty smoothly 🙂

Had to do some fine tuning to the derailleur to keep it from clicking, but it seems to be running smoothly now.

Battery had about ~60%, so I went on a short test ride and was only able to get it up to 23mph using both PAS and full throttle as well as stationary with rear wheel lifted 🤨

Is this due to the low charge?

I was told it would be limited to 28mph out of the box

you finally got your bike! Yay!

change your the tire size and speed in advanced settings .. set to 28 wheel size and max speed to 31 mph.

After charging, I was able to hit 29.7mph with the wheel off the ground (have yet to do an actual top end run)

Thing is, my charger light has been red for the last few hours even though the meter reads 100%

How long does it usually take for it to go green?

I'll mess with the advance settings after I finish my review video

give it a good 8-10 hours before you start worrying.

FedEx ground is not like regular FedEx. They’re almost 2 separate companies.
