I Had Some Stickers Made For My EBike

Nothing quickly indicated my Ebike is in compliance with local bylaws so I had these stickers made up.
I heard of some people getting tickets from my LBS, so I am not taking any chances with cops that don't understand the spirit of my local laws, my Ebike is locked to 32Km/h in compliance with local laws and I will not be changing that.
It's plenty fast enough for me.

To be perfectly honest, I think they look like a blast. I've only seen two on our local trails and I tried not to let it bother me. If I saw a bunch I don't think I'd like it. If I were to get one for myself I'd use it on OHV trails and on forest service roads, since I know people would object to me riding it on the bike trails.

What worries me more is the concurrent push to allow bikes in Wilderness and, if permitted, how someone might try taking their e-bike out there.

In the States we use Class 1, 2, or 3 to indicate max ebike speed (and throttle use). Our new ebikes came with all 3 stickers loose with the manuals. Might as well go with Class 1 and just obey the speed limits I suppose...🤣

Remember that these are bycycles ... not motorcycles we are talking about. They don't have even dirt bike range or power, and anyone taking them into deep wilderness already better know what they're doing or they won't get back.

Add "or 20 mph" and you'll be fine anywhere down south if and when you want too ... but you'll be fine either way.😁

my motor says bosch performance speed not sure if a class sticker would work.
I think it would. After all Bosch makes middrive class 1 and 2 ebikes, and any sticker is probably better than none by law.

I think the word speed would be a dead give away. bosch only makes class 1 or 3 View attachment 64451
I wouldn't expect a ranger to know that. Anyway, I think a class 1 sticker is a good idea for everybody, assuming you ride it like a class 1 among others where it matters. Reminds me of the lakes that limit horsepower...usually a 15 hp badge on the motor... one guy made a number "1" that was an exact match and stuck it in front of the "15" on his motor. An old guy walked by and said "Wow. They really made those motors smaller. I remember when a hundred horsepower motor was as big as a car motor." Yes, stickers are silly, but there's really not much difference among bycycles. A half a horsepower, really?
