Hydra screen cable severed from control pad. What now?

Had a minor accident today on my Hydra (2020 model) - and the cable that goes from the controller pad on the left of the handlebars to the screen got severed. Does anyone have any experience in replacing/repairing this, or how I even get started?

Thanks for the link/info on that! At one point I'd had the display/information for that component but had apparently forgotten it, and seeing that it actually has the display+control pad together is nice.

I wasn't sure if the cable that got severed was one with multiple inner wires (which would then need to be spliced back to their matching counterparts), or just a single line.

I actually know someone who's an electrical engineer (whom I'd forgotten about in the heat of yesterdays accident), so I'll go ahead and ping him.

On the OTHER side of the bike, I'm not super mechanically minded with bikes, but I do what I can. Since my accident, I noticed that as the back wheel is turning, it appears that periodically during it's rotation it's rubbing against the chain at some point in its rotation. Would anyone happen to have any leads on what I should check/adjust that might lead to that symptom? My guess was that the tire was jostled ever so slightly out of it's axle/position/grove (just a guess, I'm not even sure if this frame is like that). But was thinking of loosening and adjusting that today - but would love to hear any other suggestions of something to try.

Thanks!

Did the wheel always rub, or is it a recent problem? If it's recent I wonder if the rim is bent.
I also have a Hydra, with a Kindernay hub.

Without seeing the rubbing I'm going to guess it's either the rim is bent or the tire casing has failed, casing it to bulge in one spot.

@Deacon Blues - just finally got a chance to look at it in more detail. The tire itself is actually wobbling back and forth in it's roll ever so slightly while it turns. Just about to start looking up information about what causes that! The rims themselves LOOK fine (not saying they are for sure).

easy way spin the back wheel using something like a zip tie that just touched the rim and see if there is a gab as you turn the wheel. if not then your just dealing with the tire. then try letting the air out and squeezing the tire around till it pops out of the bead and then reinflate. if the rim has movement then you need to take the rear wheel to a shop to have trued up and inspected.
