How to downgrade the shimano Esteps E6000 firmware

Hi All,

I have a Bad Ass bike hack box to bypass the 25km limit (I ride on dirt) on my eSteps E6000, it was working great until I got the bike serviced and it no longer works.

On the Bad Ass bikes website it mentions not to upgrade the firmware - so I suspect that is what has happened.

I've purchased a SM-PCE1 PC link cable (waiting for it to arrive) and installed eTube.

Anyone know where to find / download earlier versions of the E6000 motor firmware, or the Computer firmware???

Any help appreciated.

You may have to go back to the shop and ask for them to download the earlier firmware version.

Is there even a way to downgrade firmware? I've never seen that option when using the Shimano STePS software that they provide to LBSs.
