Folding Electric Bike
$1,199.99
The Folding E-Bike is one great Electric Bike. Where can I begin describing its power? First off it’s powered by a 350 watt brushless high hub motor along with a very powerful 36V-11AH lithium polymer battery. This beast can take you up to 32 km/h through the traffic, wherever it is you are going. So you can rest assured that you can get to places if required urgently.

And most notably; yes, it’s foldable! And everyone knows that there are numerous advantages of folding electric bikes. Take it easily with you (and lightly too) where ever you decide to cruise and stop by on your motor powered bike. Perfect to store and keep in compact and small spaces! Powerfully convenient if you ask us (no pun intended) You won’t have to miss a class in the morning or that meeting with clients, just because you were stuck in traffic. Available in Yellow, Red and White colors, this bike is great for people of all ages.

Since it's a beast, you better scoop one up. I'm not sure of that Lithium Polymer engine though. LOL

At $831 USD, a bit more expensive than I like, but if your shop is going to keep it running for a year, that's worth it.

Thanks for the input. The company seems to have a legitimate website. I like the fact that it's extremely lightweight. Any suggestions for a folding electric bike in the $1000 range.

?? That bike does not weigh 30lb, more like 45-50lb at least, the seller has included many other errors in the description on the product webpage. By comparison with other folding ebikes for example the Lectric XP weighs 62lb, the RadMini step-thru 2 weighs 69lb. Folding ebikes are typically heavier than other ebikes, the frames fold and are made of cheap aluminum so they have to be overbuilt to cope. A lighter one can be had for under a grand but not this model. You would be much better off getting a Swagtron EB7 Plus that weighs 42lb, I trust Micah Toll’s review specs, source: https://electrek.co/2019/12/12/revi...-electric-bike-is-ready-for-the-urban-jungle/ Swagtron do not officially ship to Canada but there is an eBay Canada listing for this model where the seller is in South Bend, IN, where Swagtron are located, asking C$1,012 including shipping.

Swagtron is 16" wheel? If so, that's tough on the ride, both for comfort and speed.

For sure, tbf in his review Micah suggests the EB7 is for short last mile urban riding and recommends their larger EB12 model for everyday riding. However the EB7 main selling points are it's affordable, lightweight, and folds, not many other options do all three for around a grand Canadian.

there are many folding e-bikes from china to choose from.. but yes most under $1000 are heavy steel, the one at the top of the page looks like many china unbranded e-bikes..specs and manuals are often poor/off/bad... (I guess I am keeping an eye open for one ..thinking I will use it for travel).

1. Why do you need/want a folder? As stated, surely the 30lbs is incorrect. I guess you never know. Most of them are 50lbs, and I don't know about you, but that's a lot of weight to pickup and lift over a trunk apron or boat/rv/aircraft storage container. Try lifting a box of copy paper first, or a 55lb grain sack, a standard hay bale. My back screams at the mere thought of it.
2. Small wheels makes it more toy-like than an actual mobility device.
3. This is sold by your local dealer? Or online sales?
4. Does this meet your needs/wants for bicycle riding?
5. I think 20mph on that would be downright scary. But that's just lil' ol' me. 😋

Under pedal assist, a big 52T front and small 11T rear gear still limits you to about 18mph on a folder. I've seen 24 mph on 52V and throttle, and 24 mph downhill on our 20" models.

We own three conversions. Alloy frames. 20x2" tires. Gearing is 52/11 and 52/14. About 36-40 pounds. Weight not critical because they're never folded and carried by hand.Handier to tote on a car carrier or inside a car.

When I ride by myself, I'll take my 26" ebike, but the folders are fine when riding with my wife.

Just another Chinese import sold by unknown seller who didn't take any efforts to check the product details. Tells something about their attitude.
30 lbs weight is nonsense, expect it to weigh 45-50 lbs.
Agreed with recommendations to look into Amego if you are sure that you need a folder. Being in Toronto, you can take Amego to their shop with any problems.

Kanis has an address in Woodbridge Ontario, and it looks like they deal in all kinds of off-road vehicles.

If they're open to the public (probably not during the Covids obviously) it MIGHT be worth checking them out. But yeah, their web descriptions are really horrible. :)

Walmart deals in all kinds of, er... goods, you know... They have 20" folding ebikes from $CAD 800. When the item is an off-brand, you're not getting any support, though you will have a 3-month return (not sure as to their policy on ebikes). If you open your local Craigs, there will be several outlets like Kanis, specializing in low-tier items.

This bike is a black box. Unknown quality frame, unknown motor and battery, and likely the lowest grade connectors, hinges and other hardware. I checked the ATV section of this off-road store (the only other thing I know) - mostly bottom-quality stuff there.
