Hi! I'm new here and waiting to receive my first ebike

Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! from Clovis, CA. I've been researching ebikes since late last year and finally bought a Himiway Cruiser in July. Supposedly, it will be delivered at the end of the August, but not holding my breath based on some of the posts I've read about delays. But, I really am looking forward to it and getting out there like you guys and enjoying all the benefits that an ebike can offer.
I'm 61 years old and kind of a big guy at 6'4" 270#, which is part of the reason I got the Himiway with its 750W motor, 25A controller, and 17.5Ah battery - wanted enough power to tote this heavy frame up and around the foothills here in California's Central Valley!

Hello John, and welcome to EBR. Lots of friendly people here willing to assist with your questions. I’m not familiar with the Himiway, but it sounds like a pretty powerful bike. I know people heavier than you and they have no problem with 750 watt motor. Be patient and it will be worth the wait. In the meantime read up on EBR and educate yourself with the information offered and read about the accessories and which would be important to you. Good luck, and hopefully this virus will end soon and people can get back to work and get these bikes out, especially yours.

Thanks so much for the friendly welcome Bigal! I have become a fan of EBR and Court since late last year when I started watching their video reviews of different ebikes. In fact, it was an EBR review (done by one of Court's comrades) that contributed to my decision on which bike to purchase. Thank you again!
