I have wiped out several times on my hyperscrambler2 because my toe tips barely touch the ground. I would like to shorten the seat, partially cut out the seat support tubing, and make the ebike a step-through. If doing this, I still see enough structural integrity, especially with the attached battery in place. Please give me your opinion and don"t tell me to get a new bike.

Does your hyperscrambler2 look like this one?

If so, cutting out the top tube will weaken the frame and make it dangerous to ride.

If you post pictures, we may be able to offer better advice.

Don't remove the fat or lean out your ebike,..

You might fall on your ass.

If your feet can't touch the ground on that ebike, then you must be a leprechaun ??

OK, so you might be less than 5' 7" ,..

You could "upgrade" your rear shocks to shorter shocks, or cut the springs down, or just install short straight connecting rods. (But you'd lose your rear suspension.)

My motorcycle had adjustable spring tension, so I could raise or lower my rear end.

Are your shocks adjustable or can you reduce the shock pressure (if they have air?)

You could turn it into a hard-tail ebike with just enough tire clearance to not scrub the underside of your seat.

Thanks for your input. Many people have told me that. It would weaken the frame, so a step-through would also be considered a weak frame?

Frames that are designed to be step throughs have reinforced downtubes or dual downtubes. Your frame does not have that as the top tube provides that structure for the frame. It's your frame and you can cut it up how you wish, but that is probably not going to end well for you.

I was unaware of the reinforced tubing integrity for the step-through. I will heed your advice and abandon my ill-fated plan. I applaud your professionalism and feel fortunate for your reply.

I used to be taller and could look people in the eye, but now, at 78 yrs old I have shrunk to the stature of a leprechaun as well as having a chip on my shoulder. The rhyme cheered me up and gave me the momentum to overcome any ebike challenges.

No.
You need to buy a Jet,..

The jet allows you to lower the seat,..

It's a step through and built for it.
And you can fold it up and put it in your knapsack. 😁

It's only $200 more than what you gots,..
And you can't even buy what you gots no mo,..

You've got TONS Of Clearance

Shorter shocks or short connecting rods for a hardtail.

I'm guessing 2"-3" of drop is possible before your tires would be wiping your ass.

😁

I am really discouraged with all the criticism of my idea, and what hurts is that they are all right. Thanks for the reply.

We're all right if you SLAM the rear end of your ebike.

Just feel it out slowly.
It will handle differently.

Thanks for the reply.

You're welcome.
Post some pics of what you come up with.

PS,.. I've fallen over more than two dozen times, but I've never really crashed.

Falling over builds muscle memory 💪 so you can crash at higher speeds without as much chance of getting hurt.

Anything is possible.
Show us what you gots
