Set up individually both motors work perfectly, but when I set it up with just the signal and ground wires on the second motor only the main motor works . I have built similar set ups in the past, with no problem , so am at a loss to understand this .

Dual controllers. One throttle with +5V from one controller. Common ground. Throttle signal shared? Should work. Make sure each controller runs separately first. You already did that with the single throttle?

Thanks for the reply. Actually problem now solved , A Google search produced an AI responce that the
Second controller needed to be "woken up "time it was connected.,suggesting connecting the narrow red wire from each controller. However my controllers didn't have such a wire. Alternatively it suggested cutting into the red wire between the display and it's connector.for controller 1 or"the green or yellow wire", but neither of these helped, so I tried connecting the blue wire of the display connector for controller 1 to the blue wire of the unused display connector on controller 2 , and BINGO it worked with both motors now working on one throttle. Bit of trial and error there, scared it would blow something with that dreaded"POP" , BUT
🙂 THANKFULLY ALL NOW OK ! .

Good to hear you figured it out and got it running, Yes, you have to get those controllers started.
