Hi all,

My wife and I are avid recreational cyclists. We have bikes form various genres. A pair of restored 1970's English Raleigh 3 speeds, modern beach cruisers, hard tail MTB's, a 90's hybrid tandem, and most recently, ebikes!

I currently have a 2020 Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0 and my wife has a 2020 Electra Townie Go! 7D. Both were bought within the past few weeks. Previously, I bought a mail order, fly-by-night special that was promoted locally, but I was quite disappointed with it.

Anyway, I've been lurking on this site for a while now, and I have learned a lot. Hit me up if you want to discuss or ride or whatever

Welcome to the forum! Your new bikes sound great! I'd been real interested in the Vado line but decided to go with something else because I wanted it THIS year and didn't wan to wait. My local dealer (great dealer) didn't have any Specialized e-bikes in stock and told me that he'd have to order five (not sure if all would have to be the same model) in order to get them and that it was too late in the season for him to carry that inventory. Up here in the frozen north (Montreal) our cycling season ends early. You're real lucky that you can ride probably all year round.

So, you're happy with the bikes so far? What's the range like on a charge?

Hi there! Yes, we are quite spoiled for year-round riding. It gets a bit chilly for casual riding deep into winter, but it is doable if motivated. In the US, you can buy directly from Specialized.com and have it delivered to your dealer of choice for in-servicing. I looked at the Canadian website and I see that is not an option :(
What did you end up getting?
