Headlight/Tail light integration

Anyone add a headlight and taillight to the Yamaha system? I can't seem to find much about it other than there's a "W" wire and a "P" wire. Assuming on is ground and one is voltage either battery voltage or stepped down to 6VDC seems to be likely, but the only diagram I can find on the Yamaha system is not too specific on any sorts of details other than those two wires exist.

Anyone have recommendations?

I have a Haibike SDURO Cross SL, should be coming in on Thursday.

Ethan, IF you bought from a local dealer, they might be able to help. Warning, it's expensive. My local dealer (So. Cal.) told me it could be done. The top end Full 9s come with them and they are bright. I don't use lights for illumination but rather for "driver awareness". I do commute with mine and would love the option to hit the switch when I have to pull out on a busy street (something I try to avoid). Until then, I'll use my $15 ones.

If I tear into mine, I'll let you know. It looks simple enough.

SoCal here too! :)

Who do you go to?

I emailed Haibike and they got back to me with:

"Lights can be installed on this model, however we do recommend that a Haibike authorized shop perform any lighting system installations. They will have to drop the motor from the frame and feed cables through the frame"

I can't say enough good things about Sam at Myron's Extreme. That's where I bought my Cross SL and they have been really good. The thing that slowed me down was that some of the nice high power LED lights are really expensive ($100-200) and I don't need those. Again, I need avoidance lights. Be prepared to spend $250-300. It would be worth it IF you really need it. For me.... I'm waiting.

Ah, a little too far for me :) I'm in Carlsbad. I got mine at San Diego Fly Rides in La Jolla. Supposedly will be delivering it to my place today so we don't have to drive down to pick them up!
