Handle bar grips

I have a Trek Verve+ and was wondering how to adjust the handle bar grips. There are two screws per grip , which one needs to be loosen to move the grip? The bike is new, and I don't want to mess up something.

I thought there is only one screw on the end of the grip, acting as a clamp. Where is the other?

At the other end of the grip .One on each side of the grip . I think those two will loosen the grip and allow me to rotate the grip.

Loosen both screws but don't remove them. If your grips have a palm rest like in tegnamo;s picture above, while in a riding position, rotate the grip until it feels comfortable against your palm. Re tighten the screws carefully. They are quite small and you can easily strip the threads. Tighten only enough so the grip doesn't rotate.
