Gunna try these 650Bee Lines on my MTB.

27.5 inch tires are rare in the local shops at this point, so I ordered these from Jenson. More of a road or hard dirt tire because I'm tearing up the Knobby Nic's on the street. Was short 2 cents for free shipping so I added a peanut butter goo. -S

Hi Court, I put them on the Haibike FS RX, one of your favorite bikes. While I do off-road the beauty I'm doing way more road miles. Cornering and hard braking are nice on the BeeLines, and with 55 psi in they roll with ease and any speed. BTW - The PB GU was gross . -S

Yes, the only caveat is mud, the little waffle pattern will fill creating temporary slicks. I was looking for Crazy Bob's but Schwalbe does not make them in 650b yet. -S

The Super Moto X's will be available next year and I believe they are the best 650b tire on the market. The Focus Thron Speed comes with them standard currently and they will be available aftermarket next year in the US.

Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus: 3mm Greenguard compound and E-bike ready.

Best on-road/light trail tires for 650B:

Schwalbe Supermoto X: 3mm Greenguard compound and E-bike ready but fast rolling

These WTM be liners at that price are serious contenders. One can add Mr. Tuffy tire liner to make it more flat resistant.

The 650b Supermoto X won't be available till spring of 2015 but it should fit the FSRX. It's wide but their's plenty of clearance there.

I'd have to disagree with that one.

I'm still waiting to see what Pannaracer can do, but in the mean time I'll stick with the absolutely superb WTB Vigilante.
Okay they are noisy on the road, with plenty of vibration, but I didn't buy them for road use.




I am going to swap out the rims some time though. The OE Swiss DT rims are just too narrow and tight for my needs.

These are triple compound tires from WTB and Schwalbe (Vigilante, Hans Dampf etc) but they are substantially more heavy and made for DH sort of use. They also cost quite a bit more ($80 per tire). So, of course, one can expect better performance from them.
