I've been reading bits and pieces from this forum for over a year and have been very impressed.

I finally pulled the pin and bought a Specialized Como 2.0 from my local shop - love it so far.

I've read a little about the planet 3 adapter to remove the 20 mph governor - I'm intrigued and tempted since my legs want to go a bit faster, but I'm worried that the original engineering was set for tolerances under 20. Anyone have experience or opinions regarding this?

Welcome to the forum, Mark. And congratulations on the bike! Como bikes always seem to get good reviews.

You may get better response to your question if you post it in the brand specific section of this forum.

As far as my opinion goes... :) I'm sure the bike components are built for much higher speeds than the 20 mph current limit. And you'd certainly not be thrashing the bike around a lot at much higher speeds anyway.

Good luck!
