Has anyone had much experience with the Greenergia controllers? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B088KJFZN7, I am looking at the 48V500W22Ah model and it looks like it works with all my existing connectors and I am looking to pair it with a KT-LCD8S. It will work with my Higo motor plug also

KT displays require KT controllers. This could be a rebranded KT but I would verify that before purchase.
Also there are many kt 48 v 22 amp waterproof controllers out there for less money.

Thanks, I am just finding them hard to source in Canada

It's not a KT controller, and if I look on the Greenergia ebay site, they don't sell KT displays, only Bafang. I think it's worth asking them via amazon what displays are compatible.

You've got the big Higo motor plug? That's what they use on the bigger Fat Bike motors.

No my motor uses the Bafang style smaller 500w the one that is larger seems to only be for 750w+. So wait Greenergia uses Bafang displays? well that's fine I like the Bafang displays it just looked like the same julet plug on both. I know that does not mean they are compatible

KT definitely has an exclusive communication protocol, I don't know about all others.

That's most likely why I am getting all hung up here. port might look the same but its not! Looks like the EggRidder v2 will support a Befang controller setup which it looks like the Greenergia is trying to mimic. Ill confirm with them though.

Greenergia is a reseller of Bluenergy/Greenergy kits from Aliexpress.

I have converted three bikes with these and they are nice kits.

While the Bluenergy controller is compatible with many Bafang displays including those normally targeted at Bafang mid-drives, the EggRider V2 mid-drive edition is not compatible with the Bluenergy controller. At least not as of December 2019. My Eggrider v2 sits on the shelf.

Looking at the controller visual comparison chart, I believe that your 500W YSCV126-001-48T model is a 18A unit. The next model is 22A, but comes with the bigger connector.

Is it still worth upgrading at that point?

Changing to a smaller connector is possible, although it's a messy splice, but the smaller one isn't sized for 22A. That said, I have two 25A KT controllers running with the smaller 9 pin. I don't run them sustained at 25A though. Not even 20A.

Yeah I am debating this.. I have a generic controller now so I can't modify it at all so even a better controller and screen to program it might help the motor perform better on hill etc. I fell like my current controller just has one speed.. I have also thought about upgrading to 1000w motor but I don't think I'm there yet. I just want a better screen and controller.

Based on the images from that link, Greenergia is offering 48V/22A/750W and 48V/30A/1000W controllers now.

I have the 18A controller on my bikes @harryS referenced.

I've never had a problem with the controller. At 18A, it will still output 750W at 39V. I can hit 28 mph on both my Electra Townie and Mongoose but you need a nice flat to run. Mostly I hit 25 mph top speed.

On the Mongoose Envoy I have a SW102 display (same base display as the EggRider). On my Electra Townie, I have the DPC-18 color display with a remote keypad. Overall I prefer the SW102. The SW102 is basic, but allows simple control of the PAS levels while providing basic stats. The DPC-18 is colorful and has a more responsive remote keypad but takes up more space and is harder to read in sunlight.

I started to laugh because our situations almost mirror each other. I am installing a 48 volt 750w. Controller in my bike on a Bafang color display.

I have that controller now and it has been a nightmare with Greenergia. I purchased there ebike kit from amazon and it has yet to work correctly for PAS, they send a second controller different from first and it is worse. Trying to get DPC 18 display bafang to work.
