Fuji Conductor? Or recommendations for similar?

I‘m a hobby cyclist. I enjoy riding an older Trek 820 on city trails. I’ve just started looking at ebikes, mostly to help a bit with big hills. There’s a big one leading from the trail to my house that I sometimes dread. My husband and I just started looking. He quickly settled on a pedego. It was smooth, but it felt more like a mini moped than a bike to me. I’ve been considering a Fuji Conductor. It feels more like a traditional bike with a bit of a boost. I don’t see many reviews on this model, though. Can it power me through inclines (paved)? Can anyone chime in? Also, will I regret not getting a throttle for hills and keeping up with my husband? Any other similar bikes under $3000 I should consider?

The motor specs describe the torque rating as being 45nm which is adequate for climbing hills with pedalling. I like that the Fuji Conductor comes in 4 frame sizes and a mid-step frame so you can choose a comfortable size for active pedalling. If you want to try a mid-drive for comparison the Liv Rove E+ or the Gazelle Medeo T9 both offer slightly more torque at 50nm but because those ebikes use a mid-drive to drive power through the gears you might find they climb hills better.

A throttle on a low power ebike is for getting started, if you want to power up hills on throttle you might have considered a more powerful motor spoked into a smaller wheel like the Pedego Element or RadMini Step-Thru, but those may also feel too much like a mini moped for you.
