Hi everyone, hope all is well. So... I'm looking to get my first electric bike ever to make short 5 mile runs to the local grocery store. Not too many steep hills to climb. I'm 190 lbs with a 32" inseam. Been riding and working on bikes for 30 years. Very excited to jump in the electric game. Budget is $2500.

Currently looking at the EUNORAU G20 and RadWagon 4.

What say you?

I’m not sure the convenience of the folding handlebar on the G20 outweighs the narrow Spread of gears in the 14-28 freewheel, I’d get the RadWagon with its 11-34t cassette if you need to climb steep hills under load plus it’s cheaper

Good question @Zeego! I also vote for Rad (at this price point) or the trailer option. Trailers can be great, but they take up extra space when not being used and you may need to purchase an adapter or be careful which ebike you choose to make sure you can attach the trailer (especially if it has a hub motor vs. mid-drive). Unfortunately, I've responded to a few comments about EUNORAU customer support being limited, and I believe that their hardware is a bit cheaper than some of the others.... Rad tends to upgrade the little parts like having a wider cassette range, which is great for a cargo bike because it makes starting easier. They may also have a higher resale value due to the name brand recognition. Magnum also has a good cargo bike for the money as well as Blix, and I've covered them both back at the main site :) good luck! Also, consider using a regular bicycle with a powered trailer like the Ridekick... it's louder and kind of limited on space, but kind of neat.

How about a regular ebike plus a trailer? That way you can have nicer rides when you're not shopping!

After thinking about it, this may be the way to go. The number of choices and options go from limited to wide open.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, much appreciated. A lot of homework to do!
