Ecotirc fat tire pas failure

Medium pas has intermittently failed twice while going uphill. Let it set for
a minute or so and it started again then shut down again in about 4 minutes.
Came home on the throttle after it sat for about five minutes. The bike is a ecotric 20 in. folding fat tire with the 810display and stock controller.

Maybe. But nothing felt warm or hot. I was not able to take the cover off to get to the controller on the trail. Next trip out, I will be prepared to pull the cover off. Thanks for the input.

I have the same bike, but I changed out to a different controller with LCD. Same motor, Same battery. The controller can handle up to 58 actual volts, but I normally run it on 36V..

When this happened, did you lose throttle too? Did the 810LED lose its lights too?

I suspect something inside the battery gets hot and powers down if it has to sustain high current. I've tested some things on my bike that run the battery near its 20A limit and I get shutdowns like that. If I use a different battery, I don't get them.

AllI can say is shift down a gear and pedal a little harder on those hills.

I don't know your bike. But one of the nice things about EBR is that someone who knows what they are talking about will jump in ... eventually.

I did not notice if the 810 lost power too, but the throttle did lose power. Yesterday, I did use low pas, plus went down 1 speed. And it went up the hill all the way no problem! It's kinda like my car the gremlins just went away for now. Thanks for the advice I was in a panic thinking I was having controller problems, with less than 200 miles on the bike.
