Ebike v Escooter controller difference

I was wondering why and how the controllers on scooters are so small in comparison to a ebike controller if a similar watt. My 500w ebike controller is 50%+ bigger then my 1200w controller. Just curious

First reasons that come to mind. I'm pretty sure there are others...
Scooter has no PAS
No display, so no need to provide all of the outputs
A scooter isn't as heavy, or as likely to spend time in the hills and trails, so needs less ability to get rid of heat.

No need for a bunch of FETs and heat sinks. These days a completely different design, VESC, can be found in scoots.
