"eBike Sensor Battery Critical"

Just got this message for the first time on my 2021 Creo Comp Carbon SL. Didn't seem to affect the ride and I just Ok'd the message for it to go away. Hope it doesn't become a regular thing.
It's just a reminder to order a CR 1620 battery for the TCU to have on hand for when you start getting the error message on the TCU. It's a battery size that is not very common in neighborhood stores. If it's never been changed it will eventually become a problem if you ignore the TCU alerts but the Garmin/Wahoo alert is not critical. I proactively change it every year or two. Xacto knife and rare earth magnet is the easiest to remove the battery. The manual suggests tweezers but it's the worst tool to use.

I don't believe this alert is related to the TCU battery, which has it's own indicator on the TCU when low. I just changed mine in November 2023, and these coin batteries seem to last around 3 years.

1 year if you ride a lot.
