eBike deals you can't believe

Here's another deal from BBB for a Trek Super Commuter+7 with 698 miles for $1,900.

I wouldn't call this a good deal. Probably out of warranty, 20mph gen 2 cruise motor, no suspension. I think around $2k is ok for used sc +8.

I would disagree... $2K for like-new condition with low miles and suspension Seatpost... YMMV. ;)

We will agree to disagree then.

First of all it is a discontinued model that Trek is trying to offload. Brand new ones with full warranty is sold for $2999 right now.

Like new really doesn't mean much it is not new hence warranty will not be there or little time left.

It doesn't even have cx motor just the cruise motor.

Additions like suspension seatpost really doesn't add much in second hand so probably it is better for the seller to sell it separately.

You can find a brand new older model bicycle with better components for the same price.

Also that SC+8 is also overpriced, when you can get allant 8+ for around 4k paying for an old model that much doesn't make much sense. it has been on the website for a long time. If you check the sale section you can see that last year they were being sold for around 2.5k.

:) You know the deals much better than I do but ok.

For example, I believe with the additional rebate you can get a brand new vado 4 for around 2.5k(check specialized website, 3K + 500 rebate) which is far better than sc+7 and I say on par with sc+8.

"But the Rad is so much cheaper" (friend's response to what bike they should buy).

It looks like $3K for the Vado 4.0 including rebate or $5K for a Vado 5.0. ;)

It's right in your image "rebate available". It basically doubles the discount. I noticed the specialized website is quirky on mobile and when you click on rebate icon it doesn't show. See here:

Picked up "Corona" yesterday, first ride was today.:p Turbo Vado 4.0.

$2.7k and change OTD effective price, including sales tax. Price on Specialized site is $3018 (or $532.50 discount from MSRP) plus sales tax. Specialized's "2020 Speed Into Spring" sale gives a rebate (pre-paid VISA card) which you apply for after purchase, for an amount equivalent to the bike's discount (another $532.50 in my case). List of bikes where this applies is kind of hidden on Specialized's rebate site, but can be found here:

I'm not sure what to think of this. 2020 Specialized S-Works Turbo Creo SL Founders Edition brand new for $10K.

A beautiful bike, but still overpriced at $10K considering the retail price was $16.5K ... I would expect at least 50% off for this model.

I also have to chuckle a bit about the choice of pedals for this machine... I really hope the original owner had a decent clipless set. ;)

BRAND NEW limited Specialized’s S-Works Turbo Creo SL Founders Edition. (250 were made)

The Founder’s version includes the same Specialized-designed SL 1.1 pedal-assisted motor, and a similarly astounding weight for a battery-equipped bicycle: 11.9kg versus the Turbo Creo SL’s 12.2kg. But, at 120 miles, the range of the Founder’s Edition bike represents a 50% improvement over the Turbo Creo SL.

The list of components included with the Founder’s Edition bike is impressive. Specialized’s FACT 11r carbon frame, S-Works Short and Shallow Bars, and Roval CLX 50 wheels with Turbo Cotton tires top the list. Gold-tinted embellishments on the CeramicSpeed pulley wheels and Founder’s Edition plaque provide a little well-heeled black-card bling to the overall look.

And the bike is—or was—expensive: $17K, with all 250 examples of the S-Works Turbo Creo SL Founder’s Edition sold in short order. You would be owner 089/250. This bike has never been on the road and I'm throwing in an additional Range adding up to 40 miles of range and fits neatly into the seat-tube bottle cage: $400.00 value.
Altogether, you're getting a hell of a deal for an extraordinary well-crafted e-bicycle.

While I agree Creo SL Founders Edition is overpriced at full retail, seems odd that someone would be selling a limited edition bike that sold out in short order to people with more money than brains (or just more money than they know what to do with it). Who buys a bike for $16.5K, doesn't use it, and sells for $10K? Dealer? Employee pricing? Prize? Owner tragically passed away?

If only it were number 88, I would have bought it for sure.😖
