We are deciding about an EBC R/S or Pedago boomerang. We want good support and a reliable bike. We would mostly be riding paved paths/crushed rocks. May travel with the bikes to do more hilly areas. The EBC is more affordable but is is built as well and will I have as good of support?

I'd give EBC a call and ask them how they go about handling servicing. It may be they might be able to identify a bike shop local to you that is prepared to diagnose and work on the electrics and reimburse for warranty work. EBC have a dealer search feature on their website but some shops won't work on a bike bought online direct from the company but only if ordered and bought at their shop, so it depends. If not, Pedego dealers will service a bike bought from them.
