yeah that's what I was thinking!
Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, BMW, Piaggio, and now Ducati!
Honda used to make ebike but not anymore
Honda was building ebikes decades ago but not anymore...
They were popular in Japan and Asian countries, and I heard they sold some to Europe but never been available in USA/Canada due to zero market demand for ebikes.
Here are some examples:
1995 Honda Racoon Compo
1997 Honda Racoon 26LX
1996 Honda Racoon CX
I ride a Ducati Multistrada (in addition to my Haibike Urban Plus). It is 'point and shoot', very balanced and agile. Ducati knows suspension! If they bring this to ebikes, it would be worth a look.Wow, nice looking bike. Interesting that Ducati chose to go with a mtb for their initial offering.
The Ducati Multistrada (4 in 1 bike) was featured on National Geographic as well.
Having owned Ducati motorcycles I think I'll pass........can you say high maintenance? They do look good parked in front of a Starbucks. The only worse motorcycle I owned was a Moto Guzzi, they'll be next with an ebike, it will look like a tractor.
On Sunday 4 November 2018 the Ducati World Première in Milan unveiled the new Ducati e-mtb, the MIG-RR, an enduro born out of close collaboration with the Italian company Thok Ebikes.

Sorry but I am not impressed with this bike at all.
It's just a Shimano STEPs powered eMTB, what's so different about this Ducati eMTB compare to Haibike, Trek or Giant eMTB?
I was expecting Ducati to beat something like Haibike Flyon.
Ducati is world's renown motorcycle manufacture, producing bikes like Panigale and Multistrada.
I'd expect Ducati Desmodromic Derailleur, Electronic Quick Shifter, Skyhook Electronic Semi-Active Susension, 3 Level Cornering ABS, Ride Mode Selector, etc. (Just some examples)
I wonder if they will make new one soon.
The E8000 has been replaced by EP8.
