Does it stop being so much fun?

I got my first e-bike a couple of weeks ago (Trek Crossrip+), and as I'm sure you all know, getting on the bike and pulling away in Turbo mode is So Much Fun! Question is - does it ever stop being so much fun? Will I get used to it and stop noticing? For how long can I expect to enjoy it so much? ;)

It usually becomes a little less fun when the warranty runs out and free repairs become out of pocket. Just a cost of doing business if the overall benefits are greater than the expense.

The fun never ends! I have a smile on my face during both sides of my daily commute. The smile gets bigger when I'm passing afternoon traffic, by turning what would be a 90 minute car ride to a fast 45 min ebike ride on turbo.

Hello, First off congratulations on your new ride...The Trek Crossrip+ is a nice bike and a first ( I believe )..Does the e-bike fun ever stop ? For me, absolutely not. It's
all personal of course, but I can't wait to hit the road or trail. Unfortunately CT weather will crimp my style. E-bike riding gives me freedom to ride many places
in comfort that I was not able to do prior. I've had my e-bike since July of this year and I feel more connected and a great sense of joy then I did at the time of purchase.

After 2 1/2 years, the thrill has not worn off. I would imagine it will get slightly dampened when I have to replace the batteries.
Oh, we have four bikes. :D

How about sharing the fun by posting some pics of your bike outfitted for your commute? The Crossrip+ is a fine looking machine....

I started riding 1 year after retiring, and I have just over 4600 miles on 3 ebikes over 2 1/2 years. Loving every minute of it. Still looking at new bikes and dreaming. Recently turned on the bicycle option on Google maps. Wow, I've got a lot of places to ride just in Illinois!

"Oh Baby, Oh Baby...Don't STOP! I think I've heard this someplace before. And yes, everytime I climb on my e-bike, it feels like the first time.

Clean your chain and cassette. Then report back to us. And no cheating with the high pressure water hose either! :D

Ha-ha. Fair point. Maintenance is not my strong point (that’s partly why I got a Trek!), but it should really be part of the Fun. For example, I love washing my car because it lets me admire the engineering and design details and boosts the pride of ownership.

Last night my pants got stuck in said chain. I was experimenting with not rolling them up. Experiment failed. It could have ended badly, but luckily I was able to stop safely and get it unstuck. Then I had to put the chain back onto the tiny little front sprocket. That took some time in the dark, but I still got home sooner than I would’ve on a regular bike!

Thanks for all the positive replies! Glad to hear I can look forward to many more years of smiling on my ebike!

(Now off to climb mount Tam on my regularl mountain bike - with my daughter in tow on the trailer bike... I’m going to wish I had a motor...)
