Crosscurrent air chain replacement question

Hi all,

I replaced my chain today, had approx 3k miles on the previous chain. After installation of the new chain, It appears like the chain is skipping on the highest gear, which is the gear I mainly use. Does the rear cassette and crankset need to be replaced? Attached is a picture of the replacement chain. Thanks for the help!

Your observation that the skipping only occurs in the most-used, highest gear indicates the problem is probably isolated to the cassette. So replace that first and see how it goes.

And if you predominantly use that one gear you can probably get away with only replacing that particular cog - if they are not a set.

I did the same thing and have the same problem. I simply use a different cog on the cassette. Alternatively, you can replace the casette.
