Purchased Sept. 2020. First concern was the bike would shut down on it’s own when driving. After a few minutes would restart. It seemed there was a bad bunch of controllers that would overheat. Replaced by Ride1up with a new one and problem was solved.
One day looking at my rear brake disc 5 of the 6 bolts were gone. Must have been loose and never thought of checking. Got 6 bolts for free from the local bike shop and no more problems.
Local bike shop decided to lube my bottom bracket for creak. When removing it pulled the insulation of the torque sensor wires. I repaired them with some liquid insulation but eventually started grounding again and replaced the bottom bracket torque sensor. Was very inexpensive.
Had some problems with the throttle. Must have been an open in the circuit causing the controller to stop powering the bike. First I unplugged the throttle and it went away. Actually cut the wire since the old throttles connected to the controller in the frame instead of a plug by the throttle like the new design. Replaced the throttle and no problems after that.
Motor stopped working. Seemed two falls off my bike carrier because I did not secure it properly damaged the wiring to the motor. I replaced the motor in case the wiring was non repairable but I got the wiring harness from Alibaba and repaired it so have an extra motor now.
No problems with the front air suspension which I love. Never had to bleed the Tektro brakes.
Mostly maintenance. Set of tires, brake pads, couple of chains, a rear cassette.
Just added a 48 tooth chain ring from the Vorsa to replace the 44 tooth. Was a perfect fit and didn’t even have to get a longer chain.
In the meantime purchased a LMT’D V2 step through but couldn’t go back to cadence sensor and didn’t care for the flex in the frame so sold to my friend who rides every week with me.
Picked up a Prodigy V1 step through used but the frame was just a little small for me so gave it to my niece in Phoenix.
Purchased a Velotric Discover 2 step through which is an excellent bike too but felt heavier then the LMT’D. Probably due to the rear rack and fenders. Hard to go back to 75 nm of torque after having 95. The riding position was too sit up for me compared to the slight lean on the LMT’D. I ended up hardly riding it and always choosing the LMT’D when I went for a ride. My neighbor would ride it when we went for rides and just purchased it for me.
So hit 10,000 miles on my LMT’D today and to celebrate I purchased a Vorsa Lite XR during the Memorial Day sale. Hope it serves me as well.
