Costco Canada EBGO

Hi everyone, just asking if there is anyone who knows anything about these ebikes Costco sells online. Bought my wife a Pedego last year, fantastic bike I may add, so I was going to get something for myself, and I can't find any information anywhere about this particular one. I suspect, being Costco, that the LOGO is a slap on over an OEM, but the 'net is silent. Kind of leery purchasing something that has no background at all. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I'd go with your instincts. There are plenty of well-known bikes being sold online with reviews and input from actual riders here on the EBR site. This might be a great bike but with no way of knowing, I'd look for a known quantity. Just my take.

It's going on sale in a couple of weeks and being Costco, i could take it back in heartbeat, no questions asked, so it's somewhat risk free. If I do decide to purchase it - I'll update you all here with a review.

any news ? I'm intersted with 400$ rebate, but all information that I'v found is that the comagny is located in Quebec, and when I call the support, I get voice mail.

Just called customer service to inquire about their bikes. They have a warehouse near Montreal. Design is made in Quebec, manufactured in Asia (I guess China) and the bikes are sent back to Montreal once they're ready to be sold. The guy I talked to said they check every bike they get before sending them for sale via Costco. Costco approached them to distribute their bikes and they only sell through Costco (the guy said that had plenty enough of work just with Costco). It looks like a guy who started a small business of e-bikes and struck a deal with Costco.

The motor is from Velec, 48V, 500W. Battery 10 Ah.
My GF ordered one yesterday.

Just got conformation that my new EBGO from costco will be delivered next Wednesday.
I had a Bionx bike for three years that was terribly buggy and never really worked right.
I paid $3000 for that plus some. Bionx is now in receivership so I have chosen to get a new
bike instead of trying to repair again. I am hoping it all goes well and really nervous about my choice.
At least Costco will take the bike back if it's buggy instead of convince me there's nothing wrong!
I will keep you posted on my ebgo adventure. I am a heavy use rider who will use it as a commuter
bike since I don't drive.

Thanks for the info everyone. I was worried about not being able to find any info on this bike.
