Changing bbs02 build to IGH

Hi everyone,

I’m considering switching to an Internal Gear Hub (IGH) for less maintenance during my commutes. I have a 2014 Cube Acid with a BBS02 motor. Does anyone have recommendations for a suitable IGH or is the Nexus 5 for ebikes the best?

I was thinking about buying a rear wheel that already has an IGH installed, as I’ve heard wheel building can be quite challenging but it seems like you can't find Nexus 5 that way. Perhaps a bike shop could handle the installation?

I came across the Shimano SG-C7000-5D, which is an e-bike dedicated IGH. Would this work on my bike? What additional parts would I need for the assembly?

I laced a shimano 7000 8 speed IGH into a wheel, but never managed to get the shift ring connected to a shift cable. Universalcycles sells a small parts kit with a bracket, but it ends in a circular clip that fits some sort of bushing. I never was able to buy or make the bushing. I am not saying a 7000 has a torque rating suitable for use with a mid-drive motor. My bike has a front geared hub drive. Another reason not to buy shimano, the hub requires patented lubricant yearly. The only way to get the lube into the hub is take it to an authorized bike shop that has a patented end wrench. Universal did not list the end wrench on their site. My nearest equipped shop is probably 3000 miles from here.
Warning, spoke length calculators are big liars. I measured the hub hole pattern with a dial caliper and still got the wrong size. I ended up buying 3 sets of spokes. The pattern with adjacent spokes landing 10 holes apart is called a 2 cross pattern. In retrospect buy the cheap garbage spokes to determine the length, then upgrade to DT swiss.
Warning do not buy the sturmey archer 8 speed IGH. It only has upspeeds, no downspeeds. Also the connector for the shift cable wore out and started popping off every mile after 500 miles use. When unconnected the shift rings snaps to the top speed, which is useful only if the bike is falling out of a helicopter.
